Minji

Education: PhD Medical Physics in progress, UCLA and B.S. Physics (Great Books minor), Pepperdine University

Tutoring Experience: 4 Years

Area of Expertise: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Math

Minji is a dedicated and thoughtful tutor who helps students unlock their full potential in physics and math. With four years of tutoring experience, she understands that every student learns differently and takes the time to find what works best for each one. Her goal is to help students build strong problem-solving skills, confidence, and a genuine understanding of the material, one step at a time.

Minji’s tutoring approach is supportive, patient, and focused on helping students become independent learners. She encourages curiosity and critical thinking, guiding students to develop their own reasoning rather than memorizing answers. Whether she’s helping with AP Physics, Calculus, or advanced math concepts, Minji makes complex ideas approachable and engaging.

Currently pursuing her PhD in Medical Physics at UCLA, Minji’s research focuses on lung biomechanics and medical imaging. She develops computational models that help improve treatment outcomes for patients with pulmonary diseases, blending her deep knowledge of physics, biology, and technology. This real-world experience allows her to connect academic lessons to meaningful applications in science and medicine.

Outside of tutoring, Minji loves combining science and creativity. She’s a classically trained singer who performs in concerts and competitions, and she also creates educational videos for a nonprofit organization. Passionate about community service and communication, Minji brings the same enthusiasm and empathy to her tutoring, helping every student feel capable, supported, and inspired to learn.
