Liz is a dedicated tutor with four years of experience helping students feel more confident in science and math. She believes that every student learns in their own way, and her goal is to create a supportive space where they can build both knowledge and independence. By guiding students to work through problems in ways that match their learning style, Liz helps them understand material deeply and feel proud of their progress.

Her tutoring style is centered on encouragement, patience, and adaptability. Liz focuses on giving students the tools to think critically and develop problem-solving skills they can use beyond just one class or assignment. Instead of simply providing answers, she encourages students to build their own process of understanding, which strengthens their confidence and prepares them for future challenges.

In her tutoring experience, Liz has worked with both groups and individuals, offering general review sessions as well as one-on-one support in chemistry, biology, and math. She enjoys helping students break down tough concepts into manageable steps, celebrating the “lightbulb moments” when understanding clicks into place.

Outside of tutoring, Liz enjoys an active lifestyle. As a former college athlete, she has a strong passion for fitness, sports, and outdoor activities. She also loves traveling and spending time hiking or running with her dog. Her energy and love for learning shine through in her teaching, making her a supportive mentor who inspires students to grow both academically and personally.
